Despite Viet Nams rise in the global competitiveness index, further reforms are needed to achieve economic targets set by the Government, speakers said at a meeting held on Thursday in HCM City.
The latest competitiveness figures released by the Global Competitiveness Report revealed Viet Nam has jumped 10 places in the world rankings to 67th spot with 61.5 points, that’s a rise of 3.5 points compared to last year.
The World Economic Forum’s (WEF’s) latest global competitiveness list, released on Wednesday, ranks Viet Nam 55th overall, up five places from last year and 20 from five years ago.
Viet Nam has jumped up two ranks to 68th place among 144 economies
worldwide, according to the Global Competitiveness Report 2014-15 which
the World Economic Forum (WEF) recently released.
